Our approach to mental health treatment is holistic and client-centered. We strive to meet you where you are, working to achieve the goals you have for yourself. We believe all areas of life contribute to our overall mental and physical health. For this reason, we may recommend more nontraditional interventions, such as building more support, making changes in your diet, or altering things in your day to day life. We also use techniques from more traditional mental health treatment such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)It is important to feel comfortable and safe with your therapist. We offer a relaxed, fun, & comfortable environment.

In addition to more traditional mental health therapy, we focus on other areas of your life including diet and exercise. There is mounting evidence for the connection between what we eat and our activity levels, and the way we feel.

Together we will explore your relationship with food, evaluate your overall health, make a plan for incorporating these foods into your diet and work to remove barriers that are getting in the way. She is unable to treat physical conditions or provide physical health diagnoses. Interventions are based on self-reported symptoms with the goal of increasing your general sense of well-being and quality of life.

Contemplative practices are activities that enhance our ability for connection, communication, and awareness. Below is a depiction of the various types of contemplative practices which, when used in conjunction with therapy, have been proven to improve mental health.

Restorative Health Milan has created a weekly online group to learn & practice different aspects of contemplation within a non judgemental, group setting.

Together we will try new things, cultivate a supportive community, and explore how these activities may enhance the richness of our lives. This group is open to all past or present clients at Restorative Health.
